About the Owner
Owner and lead designer of Scarlet Flowers Designs (SFD), Christina Bentley has always had a flair for bringing visions to life. She has a passion for color and a talent for creativity. Starting as a child, she enjoyed gardening, working with arts and crafts and creating tablescapes for many occasions. Christina prides herself on providing quality products and outstanding customer service on any budget.
She and her team bring a fresh, innovative and unique approach to floral design and décor combining non-traditional elements with classic styles and colors.
Christina is a Southern California native who has completed multiple hands-on courses in exotic, holiday floral design and floral design for weddings. She has over twelve years of experience. In April of 2008, Christina decided to transform her passion in a full-time business serving private, corporate and nonprofit clients.
The SFD team includes professional floral designers, delivery drivers, set-up crew, graphic designers and photographers who are equipped to handle events of all sizes and locations.
Christina earned a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in Sociology with minors in Political Science and African American Studies. At UCLA, Christina was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority (ΔΣΘ, Inc., Pi Chapter where she served as Chapter President and was instrumental in the chapter winning Farwest Region Chapter of the Year because of their outstanding programming efforts. This innovative creator is also active in her community serving with the Pasadena Alumnae Chapter of DST and the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAWPPI)
Prior to starting her business, Christina worked as a Staff Writer for L.A. Focus Newspaper.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys writing poetry, volunteering for worthy causes and spending time with friends and family and raising her daughter Kendall.
